Stormy Weather in the "Balkans"

Stormy Weather is back from their “Doo-Wop in the Balkans” tour

Stormy Weather is back from their “Doo-Wop in the Balkans” tour. We entertained the troops on U.S. and NATO military installations in Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Tuzla, Prishtina, and many other parts of the Balkans.
No matter one’s politics, everyone can be proud of our men and women in uniform.
One of our stops was at a NATO base in Sarajevo where we were fortunate enough to interact with troops from 40 countries! All working well together to stabilize that war torn country. We learned a lot, saw a lot, and sang a lot.
Being a cappella, we not only did our regular performances, but also did spontaneous jamming in the mess halls, barracks, clinics, and for individual soldiers from all over the world, even sharing sea shanties with the British Royal Navy, playing Chess with Romanian soldiers, and doing a song in exchange for pickles and Slivovitz with the locals.
On our way back, we got a chance to Doo-Wop on thousand-year-old street corners of Vienna and Amsterdam.
The absolute most memorable experience in the group’s 30-year career.
From the Billy Goat to the Balkans. Who would have thunk?
We took many photos and you can also see photos of our trip click here
